CTB vs STB

Just Curious. I haven't heard much lately on this battle and neither side seems to have won. Which side are you on and why? Add a comment or vote on the poll that you will find to the right.

Ha! - Both!
CTB when I don't need colour (It keeps it simple when sharing with others) STB when I need to add a splash of colour.

In our office, MEP uses STB, while Civil and Structural uses CTB. I am trying to unite everyone under STB, as to me it has clear advantages for us.

At my current place of employment we use CTB. It works fine but I had to create plot styles that were specifically for color applications to get around the limitations of CTB. I prefer STB for its versatility.

While I prefer STB I end up using CTB because more clients use it, being the oldest method available. Bottom line is I've been able to do what is required using both tehcniques/methods so this is a mute point, as you pointed out. Warm regards from Los Angeles,

STB is the only way to go. Colour is to enable you to identify unique building elements - you know wnat your looking at by its colour. Lineweight is controlled by having those elements on defined layers.

No complaints from consultants when we issue STB drawings.
