OK I Lied

Last week I got an email from Shaan Hurley asking if I would like to come out to San Francisco for the official AutoCAD 2010 product launch. I have to say thanks one one time to the fine folks at Autodesk for inviting me out to see this event in person. I have been Beta testing 2010 and well, during the actual product launch I made up my mind to resurrect the Lazy Drafter. There is just too much cool stuff to say an I am very excited about the direction Autodesk is taking with AutoCAD. More on that later, but first here are some behind the scenes photos of the event.

Heidi Hewett (Technical Marketing Manager), Eric Stover (Product Line Manager) and Guilermo Melantoni (AutoCAD Product Manager) Minutes before they went live.

Here's the production crew
So what goodies might you expect from me in the coming weeks?
  • PDF Enhancements
  • Making the ribbon work for you
  • What's the future of AutoCAD
  • The cool little things in AutoCAD you may have missed.
Besides seeing all the backstage stuff meeting everybody was a real pleasure. Be sure to check out their Blogs as well, mostly because they type faster than me.

Donnie Gladfelter, The CAD Geek
Randall McSwain, CAD Panacea
Steve Johnson, blog nauseam
David Cohn, CADman-Do
Lastly Thanks Again Shaan Hurley Between the Lines
