Guillermo Melantoni's Blog - What a Mesh

What took me so long to read Guillermo Melantoni's Blog What a Mesh? 

I just posted on entering AutoCAD Exchange's Benign Design 3D contest. What better way to tip the scales in your favor than to reap the rich 3D knowledge of Guillermo Melantoni? 

Another interesting fact about Guillermo, He plays spoons for a metal band that only does heavy covers of country songs. Wait, I made that up. He plays bass. Here is a cool picture of him rockin' out from his blog.Not to be out done here is a picture of me today, rocking out almost as hard.

The Lazy Drafter vs. Lazy Drafter

Sometimes I'm so lazy I just Google lazydrafter to find my Blog. This week when I did it I noticed there was a new web page out there that was not me.

These guys Mike Cooley and Josh Jones totally stole my idea! But their site is pretty sexy and informative. Where I go on and on about laziness, they are lazier still. They get right to the point with quick product ideas and tools.

Bravo, you idea stealing jerks :)

Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson has been called the Father of American Architecture.

If you can't read the caption, it says "President Jefferson had more important things to do than spend time on tedious title block updates."

This was in an advertisement for a company that makes 3rd party solutions for Bentley products, but I found it so funny, I had to pass it on.

Top 5 Rules for Engineers Dealing with Drafters

I swiped this list off the desk of one of our engineering techs.

1. Never give me work in the morning. Always wait until 3:45 and then bring it to me. The challenge of a deadline is refreshing.
2. If it's a rush job, run in and interrupt me every 10 minutes to inquire how it's going, or even better hover behind me advising every keystroke. That helps.
3. If you give me more than one job, don't tell which has priority. I am psychic.
4. If you have special instructions for a job, do not write them down. In fact save them until the job is almost done. No point in confusing me with useful information.
5. Tell me about your little problems. No one else has any and it's nice to know someone is less fortunate. I especially like the story about having to pay so much tax on the bonus check for being such a good engineer.
