No doubt AutoCAD have made great leaps forward in the last 10 years to accommodate all the formating that can come from a Word document inserted into an Mtext dialog. Here is a trick if things still seem to not quite be right with indentions, bullets and numbering.
Before your copy the the text from the Word document, check to make sure the option to automatically hyphenate the document has been turned off. Auto-hyphenation is just one of the options the Mtext dialog is just not ready for yet.
